Following the growing trend, this issue of the International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation presents a range of unique and varied studies.

Foremost, the study titled ‘Managing Students’ Attitude towards Physics through Problem Solving Instructional Strategy: A Study Caried Out in Senior Secondary Schools in Makurdi Metropolis’ was designed to further clarify the claims by several authors that methods of instruction could change students’ attitude towards physics. Following the aforementioned, in ‘Multi resolution Analysis of Rainfall Variability Using Discrete Wavelet Transforms,’ the rainfall variability on basis of its average monthly record during the period from Jan. 2013 to Dec. 2017 (05 years) in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, is discussed.

The next study titled ‘Human Resource Management Practices in Hospitals and Its Impact on Employee Satisfaction by considering Demographic factors in Surat City’ has been carried out with respect to studying the impact of the satisfaction levels of employees varies with the systematic or unsystematic (disorganized) implementation of HRM practices in selected hospitals of Surat city. Additionally, the purpose of ‘Islamic Finance: Factors Influencing the Perception of Muslim Individuals in Perth’ is to investigate the factors that influence the perception of Muslim individuals about Islamic banking and Finance.

In an interesting study titled ‘Study of Adsorption of Lead Ions from Wastewater by Polyaniline Coated bel Leaf Powder in a Packed Bed,’ a packed bed continuous column was used to remove lead ions from contaminated water with modified bel leaf powder.

‘Preliminary Assessment for the Potential of Citrus Limetta Peel Waste for Bioethanol Production under Indian Conditions’ elucidates how CLPW is pectin-rich agro waste and can be utilised for the production of bioethanol which can be used as a substitute for the conventional fuel as it is a cleaner and cheaper fuel source.

‘Leachate Characters and Impact at Bhalswa Landfill Site in Delhi, India’ concentrates on the composition of various parameters of leachate collected from highly saturated sanitary landfill sites at Bhalswa, Delhi.

‘Toward Zero Energy: Active and Passive Design Strategies to Achieve Net Zero Energy Building’ discusses Net Zero Energy building definition and design strategies targeting for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

In another interesting study titled ‘Dependency of Output Signal to Noise Ratio on Output Power and Signal to Noise Ratio at Reference Path in the Adaptive Noise Cancellation Technique,’ it is verified that signal to noise ratio at the reference path impacts the signal to noise ratio at the output, and by decreasing the signal to noise ratio at the reference path, increase in signal to noise ratio achieved.

The next study titled ‘Applicability of Finite Element Method for Prediction of Stress Concentration on Welded Joints with Defects’ involves the applicability of the finite element method to predict the stress on welding joints with defects using a finite element software and compare results with weldments with zero defects.

‘Applicability of Quality Principles for Valve Sourcing and Expediting – The Indian Valve Sourcing and Expediting Series’ will be an eye-opening manual to maximize the performance of Valve Sourcing and expediting teams. On a similar note, ‘Applicability of Optimization Principles for Valve Sourcing and Expediting –The Indian Valve Sourcing and Expediting Series’ has discussed the various techniques to minimize transportation costs.

‘Synthetic Inflow Generator having Various Oscillations’ explains how to achieve faster performance, an artificial generation of inflow turbulent flow would be necessary to make the faster convergence and maintain the real turbulent flow in the calculation domain.

Solar energy is the most prospective source of energy in recent years. In ‘Experimental Investigation of Thermal Energy Storage with Phase Changing Material’ an experiment was carried out on a parabolic solar concentrator to check the feasibility of using phase-changing material as a solar energy storage medium to heat the water.

In ‘Structural and dielectric properties of BaCexTi1-xO3 ceramics,’ the role of Cerium dopant on the microstructural and dielectric performance of BaCexTi1-xO3 (BCT) ceramics with compositions x=0, 0.1, 0.12 and 0.15 is investigated in detail.

The study titled ‘Sustainable supplier selection for new product development: A multi-objective framework’ attempts to provide a holistic approach for integrating SSC concerns with NPD while ‘A Review of Using Response Surface Methodology in Friction Stir Welding’ gives a review of basic concepts of response surface methodology in Friction Stir Welding for alloys on process parameters.

Last but not least, ‘Generation Scheduling with Renewable Energy Sources an Improved Firefly Optimization Algorithm’ firefly algorithm is proposed for solving the generation scheduling (GS) problem to obtain optimal solutions in power systems by considering the reserve requirement, wind power availability constraints, load balance, equality and inequality constraints in wind thermal coordination.

We hope this issue of the International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation is illuminating and insightful for our readers and motivates potential authors to make more unique, diverse and topical contributions to the journal.
